Total of about 9 hours clearing huge swaths through Oasis and Sro, even made a few passes through Nro and nothing, not even a sighting >< Anyone else have an inordinate amount of trouble finding this mob?

That's the one that drops a pally quest item right? While sitting outside one of the Tak entrances, I think it was the quicksand pit, he popped on top of me. Died quickly and the rogue in the group looted in the hope we could multiquest.....

Heh, that's curious - most (all?) of the confirmed sightings/killings have been in South Ro and Oasis.

He (rarely/uncommonly) drops the Spiritual Anchor for the new Oracle/phylactery quest.

Is the anchor mq'able? Know someone who looted in the hopes that it was (nobody was around that we could find who wanted it)

The anchor is used in smithing the lid of the phylactery, requiring No Drop components from the quest. Although I don't think its been mentioned, presumably the lid itself is nodrop (it has been made), and the lid is presumably used in the final combine which is assumed to be done in the 6 slot nodrop container acquired near the end of the quest.

It doesn't look like there's an opportunity to MQ it Might change in the future though, after its been solved for the first time.

Blah, I'm losing my mind :P You're right, Tak is IN Oasis, and STARTS in North Ro. Which means we killed him in Oasis not North Ro.

If ya have it, I used Sense the Dead and ganked everything that wasn't a spectre that showed up North of the lake. Took about an hour real time, but he eventually spawned in the middle of orc alley for me.

Killed him yesterday evening while waiting by the trapdoor in Oasis to start a Ruj adventure. He wandered right by the orc highway, and dropped the spiritual anchor, which, by the way, looks like a flower *boggle*.

This guy is being a pain for me, too. Granted I only spent about 4 hours yesterday. But I went around AoE'ing everything. Gather 20 mobs, nuke, gather 20 more while mana regens, nuke and so forth. I had my husband there also just killing anything that I hadn't grabbed. At first I'd log on my druid every 4th or 5th nuke and track, but then a friend (I wub you Inyidd!) brought his druid over to track for me. I got the Ghoul once in South Ro when someone at WFB camp saw it on track. Tthen husband happened to just wander across one like 5 minutes later in oasis. Then once in Oasis when I saw it on track (like 10 minutes later) . Didn't see a single one after that. Finally got supremely irritated and went to eat dinner *sigh* At least I got about 7 essences of sunlight LOL

Guess I'm gonna be spending an awful lot of time over there. I'd be there right now if the crash bug hadn't smacked me in the face. 10 times in a row crashing within 2 minutes of logging on til I finally gave up. Not my day *snort*

2 things. on luclin throw me a sow and clarity 2 if you can and i keep the tower clear of specs for you to aid in tracking. quadding them at 41. also. i haven't seen him yet. seen normal ghouls and a named mummy necro with pet but no takish ghoul. been there for a while leveling cause i have trouble finding groups when i can only grab an hour or 2 of playtime and nothing begging to be tradeskilled.
