    Taking back Cigars hijacked thread.

Noob 109,348 question will be answered by noob 108,658.

Noob questions are answered by yesterday’s noob while the old timers sit back and correct mistakes, drink coffee, and chat with other old timers. Most of the time it isn’t the old timers that answers the dead horse questions. It’s the guy who got some really good advice in the last month and now wants to contribute to the boards.

The dead horse questions are only dead to the old timers who have heard them 1001 times. Those of us new to the boards find these seeming trivial questions, very enlightening.

We aspire to reach the 190’s and the thought of any trophy is a distant one. We are noobs and if our questions are not worthy of your wisdom then they certainly are not worthy of your scowl. Thanks for taking the time to point out that I have no clue of what to do next. If I did I wouldn't need the boards.

Please forgive any “dead horse” questions I may ask. Sometimes I forget you knew everything about the game before you logged in for the first time.

Hrm. I've found that most of the 'oldtimers' tend to sit back and not respond to the dead horse topics, or if they do, make a link back to the main website.

Most of the "dead Horse" complaining I see usually stems from the "new elite".

The point is, the dead horse questions are dead for a reason. Do your research and you won't ask them. If there's no FAQ to point you to, then the old timers deserve the questions they get.

I know you (being the generic you) might think you have some wonderful insight into why Vah Shir don't have cultural, or something new to add to the list of injustices against the race because of the lack of cultural, no deity choice and lack of any wearable cultural - guess what. It's been said. Repeatedly. Which is why it's a blessed dead horse topic in the first place.

Some of these topics are private axes that people insist on grinding even after being told that no one cares. Repeatedly. Not even a little bit.

Issuing a call to action to try and revive a cause that's better left dead is, well, something better left dead. It died for a reason. Let the poor things rot in peace.

        Kiztent is right.

The "dead horse" topics are the ones that have been debated and argued, repeatedly, Ad nauseam.

The ones that always set people off into ranting screaming discussions, and as such are bst avoided.

Yes, Vah Shir don't have cultural. Yeah, there are gaps in certian dieties. Yes, Enchanters play a large role in certian tradeskills.

But certian things just aren't discussed civilly, and have been beaten to death.

With no intention of stirring the pot, the feeling you get when someone is rude in response to you post is probably very akin to the feeling I got reading this post. I'm an tradeskiller from when I first picked up a tailoring kit back in '99, with the dream of someday making those 'uber' 10 slot backpacks. "Back in the day", we didn't have all the same advantages that today's tradeskiller has, and I kept notebooks full of recipes, etc. until I got space on my old guild message board to post my own guides, because I was unaware of other sources for this information (We also logged all the quests we came across, etc).

Somehow I've managed to be laid back enough, not to begrudge the 'youth' of todays tradeskillers their advantages, or been rude to people that could try reading some FAQs before posting.

Perhaps your complaints should be more accurately directed towards rude people, than old-timers, since the two terms are really not interchangable.
