Every LDON Recipe....

Ok. I'm so very dissapointed in LDON.

I'm a Vah Shir Shaman of the 55th season as I write this. My forage skill is presently 0. Yes, I maxed it out when I started. I've been on several successfull dungeon trips. Of all my trips to the various dungeons, I've picked up 2 Ice Lichens as drops. 2. Only 2. I see all these new spiffy recipes, using this or that FORAGED from the new zones. I HEAR the foraged items drop as loots. I've seen 2 items drop as loot, and I lost the roll on both. Yes I have completed several dungeons. Yes my groups kill ALOT of things. No, tradeskills supplies don't drop often. I talked a druid friend that has a 200 forage skill (which every level 56 druid should have) bind forage to his movement keys. He was kind enough to give me a stack of ice lichens that he had picked up over the course of 2 missions. Too bad he's pretty much retired. I had to go physically beg him to do that for me. I don't have time to fish. I haven't seen water to fish in. Why must those of us without forage be punished in the way of tradeskills when it comes to the new LDON? I know other classes that can't forage are having the same difficulties, I wish they could make those items only usuable by those of us unable to forage, so those that can do have to get their own. Then they can up the drop rates a bit. Just a couple thoughts on how to fix my rant. Ah well... what can you do? Not like the lone person matters...

You could:

Make friends with more foragers and ask them to save you stuff.

Roll up a ranger alt, level him/her to 20, and get him/her into pickup groups. Forage like mad, pass off to non-forager.

Vendor dive.

Group with friends who won't make you roll on tradeskill drops.

I understand that it's frustrating, but there are options.

this is frustrating for nonforagers, especially considering how much faster things seem foraged than dropped.
my guild has been blessed/cursed with an abundance of rangers and druids, and every single one of them knows to keep anything flagged 'tradeskill' for myself and a mage. sometimes it's hard deciding if my shadowknight gets things such as ice lichen for smithing, or the mage's shaman gets them for alchemy...most of the brewing items we just throw to the shaman since intoxication doesn't seem worthwhile at the moment

I saw a few things drop in Rujarkian Hills that I had foraged. Maybe you just aren't paying attention to the drops, I know I have trouble seeing all the flying spam sometimes and I have like 4 boxes open all the time.

I've gotten ice lichen as a drop, pondweed as a drop, sand verbena as a drop. Yesterday I got five pondweed from one dungeon run.

There was one sand verbena that dropped last night and I asked the party for it(for a guildy). No one in the party was aware of uses for it and they didn't make me roll for it, but I am THANKFULL that our regular ML asks before he sells anything(sometimes it gets annoyingly slow when he does this, but i am thankfull anyway).

two runs through takish has netted me 6 sand verbena (3 per, amazingly enough). i kept hearing horror stories about the drop rate on these so just keep praying to innoruuk that mine stays like this

I've been in 6 dungeons. NO foragers...

ONE smithing temper drop. 5 trips in Mistmoore, one in North Ro. the one drop I got, a Sand "Whosawhatchacallit".

NOT PLEASED!!! I have 8 characters on this server already, and only one can forage.

price?

My friend was selling Ice Lichen for 30p in bazaar and they were all bought up in the first selling of them. What would be a proper price for these in bazaar? Don't see very many high end items being made from this so I can't see setting the price to high. But as for skilling up..maybe there is a path that makes these little foraged items worth something? Was just curious on the pricing of foraged items in LDON.

I wish I could say I share your pain, but I can not. I have been quite successful when it comes to foraging in the new dungeons. And, for the most part, when the goblin bones drop, been mostly getting adventures out of EC, I just ask if I can have them. Sometimes the group will ask me what they are for, and I tell them for smithing temper, and they have no problem letting me have them.

Of course, at the moment, I have no need for them, I am just collecting them for a fellow tradeskiller on my server that some of you may be familiar with. /wave Nimphe.

I hope, though, that you get better luck in getting the components in the future.

I was so happy this last weekend when our group had numerous gargoyle granite drop in a single adventure. The main looter was going to give them to me after he did the split but he went LD and never came back. *sigh*
