OK, my guild killed Xerkizh the Creator last night. We have done him a few times (in fact, I have his shield from a previous kill). Never has he dropped the hammer. Last night, he dropped two!
Hammer of the Ironfrost
LORE ITEM MAGIC ITEM NO DROP
Weight: 0.1 Size: TINY
Slot: PRIMARY
Damage: 13 Delay: 20
AC: +18 Str: +15 Sta: +15 Wis: +5 Int: +5 HP: +100 Mana: +100
Blacksmithing: +15%
So I am drooling. I am also kicking myelf because I spent a whole bunch of points recently and had comparitively few to spend (we use a point system for loot). There were about 30 of us in the raid and the raid leader announced "Send me a tell if you want to roll on Hammer of the Ironfrost" I sent her a tell "Me me me!"
The way our loot works is you roll for an item and your roll is modified by your points. The leader announced a roll and I did /ran 40 200 (my modified numbers). The result? 45 Oh nos!
Then I waited for other rolls. And waited, for what seemed like an eternity. No one rolled and the raid leader said "Grats Quesci!" Yays! But I was amazed that no one else wanted to roll on this item. In the end, a few people rolled on the second one, as a rot roll (lower point cost, no restrictions on who can roll...). The winner didn't even really care about blacksmithing--it was just a toy. I was stunned.
I figured out later that this one item will save me approximately 40 points of the most painful skillups. I am 188 now. Once I get to 192 I can make ethereal rings to 212. Then just eight more points to 220 and max skill. So instead of 52 skill points to get max (242 + 5%), I only need 12 (plus 20 easy ones from ethereal).
Happy dance, happy dance. With the new LDoN smithing it should even be fun to get those points. I like making things much more than I like farming for things.
Now I just need some of Shei's shears....

Creator is tough to find up on our server, because he can be killed by one strong Elemental-level group.
