Well, after going about 80 combines in smithing without a point up, at skill of 218, I decided to get my tailoring up today. I figured one point of tailoring would give me enough encouragement to keep on with smithing. I was at 197.
I had a few things I collected for LoY cultural robes. I had 19 combines of robe of tears and 7 combines of robe of skewn. Total of 26 combines and I ended up at 204! That's 7 points in 26 combines. I have not had that kind of success since I had less than 100 skills.
So I hoped the luck would carry me over. I had 8 combines of acrylia plate armor left in my bank so I said what the heck. I got my point on 3rd combine and succeeded on all combines.
I haven't been this happy about tradeskills in a long time. I know this rate won't continue but sure beats 80 plus combines for a point.
