  • Where's that dang portable forge!

I'm glad I have sow, I'm glad I have a nice str spell, but dangit I just want to break down the large and small bricks to make them more portable! What's so wrong with a portable 4 slot forge? course if they did this they'll have to give us a portable brew barrel too.

well, they've got portable drink barrel for a few of the high end brewers to use. But I guess the gnomes and magic users haven't figured out how to carry a bellows on one's back yet

Edit - doh, no HTML tags, heh

Not to mention all the fuel you need to keep the forge burning.

        They have portable spits.

A portable forge wouldn't take a whole lot more fuel than a spit, they're just enclosed with a small belows so that the fire burns hotter.

Perhaps portable forges would only have two slots so they're only really good for breaking down blocks and such.

We gnomes can make ogres disappear, change the weather, and turn halflings from snack sized to a full meal. Certainly can't take much more power than that to heat up some metal

Worst comes to worst, we just won't water down the gnomish spirits.

If you're 55+ and chain or plate wearer, for 500pp, you can have a no drop portable forge, but I don't think you'll be very happy with it...

There's no way in heck it's really going to work, but has anyone tried any normal smithing combines in the Mystical Furnace of Ro from Bor Wharhammor in the Plane of Tranquility? That's the little forge that chain and plate classes get for the Elemental and Ornate armor combines.

                  Druids get a portable Forage.

                  Does that count?

IF, and only IF, a portable forge were implimented, it would have to be 4-slot, b/c what you break down with Brick and Water, you have to be able to rebuild with 3 Brick and Water.

                    Otherwise there will be yelling.

                        Interesting,

Don't you think the portable forge would be hot in your backpack with your collapsable mixing bowl, collapsable fletching kit, collapsable sewing kit, collapsable spit, collapsable mortar & pestle, collapsable tackle box, collapsable toolbox.......

And another backpack for all the geerlok stuff..

If I can get a portable forge, do I get a new "Summon Ford F-150" spell to carry it with?

Um, there is this thing called magic in EQ. I think that the heat issue can be taken care of, weight is obviously not a problem, as you can already get 100% wt reduce bags. Size is not an issue, what you can already carry is so totally ludicrous from that standpoint.

Any other issues that need addressing?

                              How about....

I like it the way it is now?

Honestly, it's not so bad to go farm metals if you set out to do that. I know the bricks and blocks don't stack. Really I do. I deal with it all the time. But, it isn't so bad, especially since I often want those bricks or blocks just like they are.

I honestly don't think we need a portable forge or collapisble one. I wouldn't throw a hissy fit if one were added, but it's not a major point for me.
