Why can't I smith hand to Hand weapons??????

just frustrating. I was thinking about making upgrades for a guildmate. now level 45, and could use Black Acrylia Weaponry. Well, She is a beastlord, and using Polished Steel Ulak's - 9dmg 27dly + stat weapons.

Why oh Why, are there not molds / recipes to make Hand to Hand weapons for monks and beastlords. Are these Ulaks, knuckle dusters, etc, just magically created weapons in the world? Do Steel claws just appear in the world?

Just frustrated. I would just like to be able to make some that someone would use.

Black Acrylia Ulak
Magic Lore
damage 10 Delay 20
Bane magic: + 1

weight 3, Mnk, Bst, all

Not exactly sure on the Ulak, but something like that. Am I asking too much to be able to make a Hand to Hand weapon? Gah! I wanna smith fun stuff that people use. I can now, I am lovin' life 95% of the time, but let me make something for the "rest of Them", and not have to say...sorry, lets see what is in the bazaar.

Well your beastlord friend can also use 1hb, 1hp, and 2hb weapons in addition to the h2h. So there are some options. Although I agree there should be player made h2h weapons in the game.

The problem with Beastlords though is that post 50 their H2H cap is a lot higher than their 1hb, 2hb and peircing skills making most Beastlords not want to use them.

Is the Serubane h2h the only h2h weapons that can be crafted? Haven't really kept track as I don't play a BL or have to try and equip one.

Yes, the Yttrium Spiked Gloves are the only smithed H2H weapon in the game, despite several people trying as many variations on the recipe or other recipes that sound like they should work.

Recipe for Yttrium Spiked Gloves:
1 sheet of Yttrium
1 Quicksilver temper
2 HQ Rockhopper Hides

Recipes which have been tried with Black Acrylia:
1 sheet of Black Acrylia
1 Black Acrylia Temper
AND
2 HQ Rockhopper hides
or 1 or 2 Superb Rockhopper hides
or 1 or 2 Greyhopper hides
or 1 or 2 Flawless Rockhopper hides
or 1 or 2 MQ Rockhopper hides
or 1 or 2 LQ Rockhopper hides
or 1 Gauntlet Mold
or 1 Banded Glove Mold

Other things you might try, if you're up for some frustration:
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + various hides + glove patern
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + reinforced hopperhide gloves
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + Acrylia reinforced gloves
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + greyhopperhide gloves
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + shadesilk gloves
2 or 3 dagger blade molds + cured shadesilk gloves
anything else you can possibly think of



On a side note, lower the weight on your proposed finished weapons or take monk off of them, a 3 pound monk weapon is a joke.

hee hee - you're right

i didn't even think of monk weight when I put it on there. i was just trying to be complete. I.e., add the other stats. I only chose 3 because I think that is the weight of every other black acrylia weapon. but 0.3 or 0.5 would be far more appropriate, I agree.
