  • Hmm, what's wrong with this picture

Gem-studded chains, selling for 450-700pp each in bazaar.

Solstice robes, a_player_01 with 36 of them for sale at 350pp each. Many others for sale at 400-600.

Somebody is making money off the robes, but it isn't the tailors!

Chains made by JCM3 chanters have the best success rate, and can still have 1-3 failures in 20, easily. For the people that can't make them readily, or have friends that can for them, that's not a bad price at all. Considering chains aren't eatin up in the robe attempt unless successful, I'm not suprised people pay this much for them by any means.

I've had offers on stacks and stacks of Blessed Dust of Tunare for 80-100pp per, just to save people the headache of the precombines themselves. Catering to high end tradeskillers has always been a good place to make money

The best way to make a small fortune tradeskilling is to start off with a large fortune.

Makes perfect sense to me that skilling up costs money.

Same thing about varorian rings. I have seen the rings for sale as low as 2kpp, metallic liquids go for about 4-5kpp on Xev.

Yeah, and Jord meat for 500pp each, while the Jord meat pie sells for 5pp. And I still won't pay 10pp for a spider silk. Maybe I'm just a copper pincher.

Robes stopped being a profit item and went the way of (realatively) easy skilling path for ubers a long time ago.
