Signatures on the new board

I saw that the sizing codes affected this board rather differently ... it took some experimentation, but I finally found the size that gives the proper effect.

Oh, the "joys" of moving ...


(PS - When I said "experimentation", I meant that I played with my sig coding, then checked an old post to see how it looked. I did NOT do "sig test" posts.)

Alright, nipping this in the bud. Per the post in Visitor's Corner:

DO NOT DO SIG TESTS.

When working on your sig, you can test how it looks without making gratuitous posts that clutter up the forums. Open up two windows. In one, open your user cp and change the code as you wish. In the other you have two options: either find a post you have made that had your signature enabled OR start a reply to another post and enable the signature in it. Then, accept the changes to the code in your user cp if you haven't already. If you are looking at a previous post, just refresh the page and the signature there will have changed to reflect your new settings. If you are testing with a new post, hit the Preview Reply button to see how it looks with the new settings. If you aren't happy with it, make further changes in the user cp and then either refresh the page or hit Preview Reply again, depending on which method you are using. If you are previewing a new post, when you are all done, do NOT actually apply the post unless you really have something to say.

There is absolutely no need whatsoever for sig tests. They are not appreciated and will not go unnoticed.

The [img ] tag is disabled in signatures, but regular HTML is enabled, so you just need to change

[img ]blah.blah/blah.gif[/img]

to

<img src="blah.blah/blah.gif">

Eowenna, I didn't mean to pick on you. There had been another sig test in this thread that the poster has since removed on her own. I didn't mean to pick on her either, though. My post is intended more to grab the attention of and dissuade potential sig testers, rather than to chastise anyone in particular.
