Need Magelo help, please!

Does anyone here with a premium account on Magelo know how to get it to update your characters without having to do it manually?

I got a premium account coz i figured it would be really good for finding out what I have on all my different mules (!) but I haven't been able to find out how to use it.

It say to run the program you download, then log on to EQ, log off and you should be able to choose which character(s) to update.

This doesn't work for me the list over characters is still empty

Any suggestions, please?

On the website, on the left menu is an option called "Magelo Update". Click that and then at the bottom of the new page click the "Magelo Update Installer". Install the program and run it while on your char, doesn't matter if you start Magelo or EQ first. It should show on the Updater a list of the chars you have been on since starting the Updater. There is a synchronize button over the char names, the icon shows two circular arrows. Click that or the Synchronize option under the Magelo menu. It will prompt you to check box all the chars you wish to send to the website. Check your chars then enter your Magelo name and password and click the ok box. It may take a few minutes, but you will eventually get a box that says your chars are updated. Then you can go to the website and click on your chars and they will be updated.

PS they have a forum at their site, which may be more useful then this one. I've never been to their forums, so I cannot say how they are.

Thanks, I tried again and it worked. I'm not sure exactly what I did differently (if anything!) but it works now so I'm pleased

It was a huge help finding out what I have hiding on my mules!

Magelo update won't synchronize characters atm. I finally got it last night, as well. I would imagine that its because of the patch. When changes are made to the game (such as when the bank slots were expanded from 8 to 16 with LoY) it has the potential to screw up Magelo since information isn't coming back in the format its supposed to. So I would hazard a guess that it won't be possible to synchronize characters with Magelo for a little bit while the owners make sure everything works okay with the latest version of EQ.
