Um... I hate gnomes on principle and I think bards got the shaft in 3rd edition. What's a thief? Oh, you mean a rogue...

      Chaotic Good Elf Bard Thief

I get the bard thing (I'm a RL musician)... but I can only attest the Thief portion to being a quiet loner ;-)

Seen a bard at higher levels (9+) twist in 3rd edition? Bards are nearly the best support character, IMO. Just have to play it as a support character, and realize that while the bard won't have the hps or feats of a fighter, the skills of a rogue, the combat spells of a wizard, or the healing ability of a cleric, they have a little bit of each. And take feats from Song and Silence, they help (extra duration in particular).

This surprises neither myself nor anyone who knows me.
For my first EQ character, it took zero time to narrow down my choices between a Wood Elf Ranger and a Wood Elf Druid. From here it took a week to decide on the Ranger. The only reason I think I WAS able to decide was that a good friend of mine had a Wood Elf Druid.
