Main? What's a Main? /boggle

The first time I ever logged into EQ, I created 6 characters. 2 Paladins, 2 Rangers, 2 warriors. Each was a different race. It gave me a great opportunity to learn several different towns and newbie areas at once.

That was slightly over 2 years ago.


I currently have:

52 Human Paladin (Mistress baker)
52 High Elven Cleric (Mistress Blacksmith)
50 Dark Elven Enchantress (GM Jeweler)
46 Elven Druid (Master Tailor)
36 Elven Ranger (Mistress Fletcher)
34 Barbarian Shaman (GM Brewer)
33 Barbarian Warrior
30 Barbarian Beastmistress (Mistress potter)
30 Gnomish Necro (Master Tinker)
28 Human Monk (Apprentice baker)
20 Kitty Bardess (Mistress Potter)
20 Kitty Rogue (GM Chef)
17 Elven Enchantress (Mistress Jeweler)
16 Human Cleric (Apprentice Blacksmith)
10 Lizard Monk
08 Frog Cleric (who may hop off to the great lilypad in the sky ... )
09 Elf Ranger (F Vie RP server)
05 Elven Cleric (F Vie RP server)

Half of those were my adopted brother's, but I maintain them in honor of his memory.

I keep rotating among the whole lot, unable to abandon any of them for very long ... except perhaps the Lizard monk (he's mostly a stuff-holder).

I seem to play my Paladin or Cleric most often, because they tend to be more in demand by others. Chantress is at an awkward level ... too big for many things, not big enough for others. :?

So, what's a main? I don't know that I have one. I just enjoy playing and exploring them all.

Well, this morning....

This morning I woulda told you it was my 44 cleric Nhinx.

Then... well, I did something I haven't done in eighteen months of playing a cleric (who, you will remember, gets root at level 5)...

I logged onto my druid Eyith (level 12, natch), got into a dispute with a spider in Northern Ro, and started to root the thing and back away. You see where this story is going, no?

Well, I'm a druid now. It's official. :roll:

One main, seven alts for me also.

My main, my first toon, Enfiniti Starr, Human Ranger of Karana, now level 53 and 0 AAs.

My next favoret toon to play is my Vah Shir Shaman, now level 26.

I have 6 other non higher then level 15;
Gnome - Rouge
Dark Elf - Shadow Night
High Elf - Cleric (Bazaar seller, not even level 2)
Iksar - Beast Lord
Froglok - Pally (Just wanted to check out the frogs, never deleted him)
Erudite - Chanter (Level 12, for makeing Mana Vials for Wu's)

I want to get my Ranger to 65 and a few nice AA skills, my Sham is for when I die like 3 times in a day on my Ranger.

Well, today I got Gothus my necro, up to level 12! Only 20 more levels to go before he catches up to Sithro. Then when he does I'm going to play Sithro till level 40 or 45! Then vis versa.

Right now there the Two Muskateers... Will have a third one when both Sithro and Gothus hit level 50 or so. Then you will see a Paladin! =)

Then when I have my 3 mains! I will... Stop making mains and get em to 65 and tell everyone I have a nice veriety of characters to play!
