  • So, any Hawkestone fans out there?

LOL - hold your fire folks - there's enough flaming of those folks on the Xev boards to burn down the entire amazon rainforest.

Since it would seem that all of the threads there are simple screaming and cussin at the folks in Hawkestone, could someone here give me a calmer explanation of what is lost and what is gained by waking the Sleeper.

Additionally, are there any other servers that still have a sleeping Sleeper - the way folks are talking, it's sounding like we've held out the longest?

    why its bad

The bigest resons of all is the fact that the monk shroud of longevity no longer drops that BP is the best in the game hand down till a guild can get to elemental.....LONG WAIT

also are the Sod's best agro weapon pre-luclin yes there are better agro weapons for warr out there but in order to be storngenough to farm them you need wepons that let a war hold agro.

Also are the gnome illision masks that no longer drop imo not such a big thing but i know many a bard and rouge that would have liked one

and also one of the other things that used to drop are resistance stones they were 35 in one save with for some ae mobs is Hugely usefull.

But mostly they didn't have the right to wake him if harm and Av had wanted to back when they were in that zone nobody and i mean nobody could have said diddly but its the fact they left sleepers intact for the younger players to see and gear up in. i my self have an ST but never had an opertuniy to see the dragon sleeping /shrug would have been really nice but life goes on its a game and hawkstone will have to live with the concequnces of the selfish choices they made by denying younger guilds the chance to go to sleepers and see it the way it was......because if the last 10 guilds that have passed thru had deceided to do what they did hawkstone would never have been able to

Oh and the new contend are some caster drops and some horrblie collecting quests think of the HoT quests in a much nastyier form lol

If I remember right, when they revamped ST to KL, you can actually no longer wake the Sleeper. He is no longer in the zone data. I could be wrong though.

You are - Xev was apparently the last real server to have it's Sleeper intact - all the other servers except for the two newest ones have had thier Sleepers woken up at one point or another - Xev was the only mature server with a real Sleeper intact.

So where might I get links and data on the new quests that one can do now that the Sleeper is gone - my guild would have been working ST by the end of the summer if this hadn't happened - but I may as well get a leg up on collection quest items if I can.

(PS - put this in PS since it's apparently a rather emotional subject for many on Xev right now.)

I could have almost sworn that when PoP came out, GMs woke him on ALL servers, as part of the storyline.

            News to me, apparently.

Sure, but since it isn't Tradeskill related (really) and as yet no one is really screaming about it on this board, I felt it belonged here.
