Who plans on going to the Chicago Fan Faire at the end of September?

I'm seriously considering it. For quite some time now I've been itching for an excuse to make and wear a bear head hat. Only problem is that some guildmates are trying to arrange a get-together sometime in late summer, and I'm not sure I could afford to do both. Well, it's not really a problem, just a possible reason not to go to Fan Faire.

But oh to wear a bear head around a bunch of people who would understand the meaning....

So, anyone coming to Gencon in Indianapolis or Origins in Columbus OH?

I'll be going to Gencon in Indy. Not sure if I am going to the Fan Faire. I would like to since I'm only 40 miles or so out, but I am not sure I will able to afford it with Gencon.

Fan Faire is free or at least the vegas one was. You only need to buy a ticket if you want to go to the dinner or participate in the easter egg hunt. All the exhibits are walk-ins. Several of the people in my group of friends who went to vegas didnt buy tickets. They were just going to gamble while we were checking out EQ2 etc. But they ended up coming in anyways as it was free entrance.

I ended up not going to the dinner. Originally we all were supposed to buy tickets but about half of my group decided they would rather just save the $90 for blackjack. One of my friends who didnt buy a ticket was wandering around the merchandise area. Someone tried to sell him some custom thing with his characters name on it. He said 'oh I dont have a character anymore, I sold him on plaayerauctions' The guy got so pissed haha. He said something like 'well you should take your cash and go out to the tables then' (casino)

Anyone else decided to go in the meantime? I'd love to arrange an EQTC get-together sometime while we're there. I'm beginning the process of making a bear head hat, so I should be easy to spot. I'll be the one with the mortally embarrassed boyfriend.
