  • Reverse Damage Shield?

What exactly is a "reverse damage shield?"

    Thanks,

It causes the enchanted to take damage every time it hits something instead of dealing damage to whatever hits the enchanted.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if by "reverse" it meant doing some healing instead of damaging...

Most reverse damage shields will heal as well. Any character that performs a melee hit on a creature that has a reverse damage shield cast on them will be healed a small amount with each hit.

I've found from past experiences that the tighter your plan, the more likely you are to run into something unpredictable.

          Reverse Damge Shield

a Reverse Damage Shield (RDS) can also negate an opponet's Damage Shield. For example if you are a Cleric and notice the messages that your melee help is 'been struck by [DS type]' and you then cast your RDS Mark spell (chilled to the bone message) then your melee assistants will no longer take damge from the mobs DS. The RDS cast needs to be re-cast for each mob that has a DS on it UNLESS you (as the Cleric) cast the Blood of [various type] which will in turn 'bleed' onto surrounding mobs provided the surrounding mob is pulled into / walks into the bleeding range before the previous mob dies and / or the duration of the blood has worn from initial cast.
