My husband and I got together because we both played Dungeons and Dragons. At our Renaissance, fantasy style wedding some friends bought us Everquest, and we have been playing together ever since, along with the magic card game and dungeons and dragons when we have time.
I thought it would be pretty cool to have offer cookies and candy shaped like some of the odd fantasy creatures we encounter at our games and maybe even make a gift of some cookies cutters to friends. I know I can't violate copyrighted artwork, but there are so many general creatures in these games that would not be copyrighted. Even so, if it was my personal artwork, for just a few friends I would think of it as "fan art." So, whatever.
On line I have found shapes of gnomes, cats, gecko lizards, bears (and other animals), unicorns, fairies, dragons, and even a few snakes, but that's about it.
I found one company that sells materials to craft cutters so far, but out of aluminum. I am thinking this would be a little shaky and would love to find some copper kits.
Does anyone else share this passion or idea? or know of good places to get such things?
I would love to have some little minotaur shaped chocolates at my next D & D game! Edible avatars would rock.
In game: I still officially request dragon shaped cookie molds!
