  • Introduce Myself

    I have been a fan and an incognito user of EQTC Forums and the wonderful Tradeskill Database for about 3 years now . I finally have signed up and I've decided to post my first post here. I am a player on E. Marr that has a main with 3 TS's at 300. My trophies are by no means 7/7. I do not claim to know it all. I enjoy helping others. Took time out lastnight to help a particularly annoying new recruit to our guild. You know the type, begs constantly for help on 1.5 fights and since they've been in the guild less than a month, no one in guild could tell you if they've ever helped anyone in guild so far. But they needed some tailoring skillups and I lent a hand . If you are on E.Marr you might actually see my name logged in somewhere around the Alchemy Vendors in CR. Maybe someday I will be able to apply for the 2100 club, but I'm not even close yet. I hope this is an appropriate place to post this type of topic as I am a NOOB when it comes to posting on the boards. (Fearing I've already taken too much of someone's valuable time reading this garbage) See you around, Good Hunting and may the random number generator hate you less than it does myself.

    Welcome to the tradeskill nuthouse. =) Someone will be along to issue you the requisite straitjacket shortly. RSI sufferers have therapy on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Wednesday is bingo night. For the true addicts, the tradeskill practice area is over to your left, and to the right is the dining room. Enjoy your stay at our fine establishment.

      Yes, and let me tell you a story. I was playing EQ one night, my (at that time fiancee) wife asks me "what are tradeskills" being the saavy player of 3 1/2 years I replied "ummm I dunno, look it up". Thus ended an era and a new age began... the rest is history, a lot of time and platinum spent. So where's this strait-jacket?! does it come in Green and White? By the way, loved your Artisan Charm Calculator! Thanks for the warm welcome!

          {pokes a nose out of a pack, blinking groggily}

          And another one delurks!

          Well met! The basic jacket is in white, though if your beloved feels you've really lost it, you may end up with your own monogrammed one. Rooms are repadded every spring, and don't forget the random chocolate tithes to the oft-napping pocket hobbit!

            Welcome to the mad house... when you can quote recipes without thinking and you look on your kichen oven for the combine button... you'll know tradeskilling has taken over a tad, and have you ever noticed the tailors don't have scissors?

            Nice to see a name from E-Marr where my main lives.

              Personally I prefer a darker blue shade over bland white jacket To get that, you need to combine dark blue dye (from permafrost extract + 1 lye) and straightjacket in tailoring kit.

                Aye! Welcome and all that. I think I was lurking and using the Database for close to a year and a half before I felt I had anything to add and registered... now folks wish I'd go back to lurking.

                  Welcome

                  Welcome to you. I started about the same time you did. Its great to meet a fellow tradeskiller as always. /wav I didn't think about introducing myself either. Great Idea. /hello everyone!!!

                  My story I started trade skilling almost as soon as I discovered it, and joke someone shoulda smacked me when I set the goal to be 300 in all. It scares me sometimes how much information I have running around in my head and that everyone asks me Tes, what is (insert weird item here) and most of the time I know the answer, which Trade skill and the other ingredients that they need. /shiver
                  I play on the Stromm server since Jan, 04 So Far I have Baking to 300, Brewing to 300, Jewel Craft to 298, Pottery to 289, Fletching 226, Tailoring to 189, smithing 200, and Research at 216. I do Alchemy on my shaman she is at 210, and poison crafting on my rogue she is at 150.. I'm always broke, and always on this site looking something up. I don't hear it any more but most always heard Tes!! go level stop doing trade skills!! My response always was Ill get there just the same and I am hehe.. just behind on my AA's Now I hear Tes, can you make, or do this combine?

                  You all are always making me laugh, and amazing me with your ability to decipher puzzles and recipes. The hard work of all you decoding poems and books and interesting hints by EQ has allowed me to get to 300 in the ones I have.. Thanks for you hard work and the many laughs you give me on insomnia nights. /bow
