  • Skilling Up Dodge

With the launch of the new expansion, I've got nearly 100 points of dodge to skill up now. As a level 70 robe, that can be mighty dangerous, if not time consuming.

Can anybody suggest a mob that hits light but is within range to get skill-ups? If so, I'll just let it beat on me for a while until I'm max.

    Thanks!

Hmm. Ideally, you want very weak mobs. I'm not sure what the mob has to con to get skillups, but assuming it's green or better (as in the old light blue), maybe you can try Old Seb. If you go in deep, you'll find some mobs that hit pretty light, die quick when you need them to, and are plentiful.

I was thinking Exterminator XXXX in Neriak used to hit really weak, but was super high. That was many eons ago however. Can another confirm that these quest mobs in each city might fit the bill?

they are Grey at 67 ..
my only suggestion has to be simply to run thru a pack of dblue cons fully buffed, get beat on while running across a zone, then zoneout...

then again.. your not a monk *shrugs*

The roamer discordlings in Harbinger's Spire are green to 75 and only hit for max 300 or so.

The "generally accepted" method of getting up dodge (and defense, and offense, and weapon skills) for non-melee types (enchanters and clerics I know for sure) ...

Find a pet class friend who's got /pet back off (an AA thing, who's name escapes me at the moment) ...

              Enter an arena ...

              Duel ...

When you are about to die (or, The Jester willing, the pet is about to die) the pet is backed off, and everyone heals up a bit...

              lather / rinse / repeat ....

Boring, requires a friend willing to be bored, and provides no exp / loot. But it's reasonably safe and decently fast.

To be honest, I get beat on enough by accident as an enchanter that I don't work on it specifically. If I am not skilling up it's because I am not getting beat on (good thing) and if I am getting beat on, I am getting skill ups and it will max eventually. I would just be patient and let it go up on its own.

Now for weapon skills, I just go in and /att when the mob is too low on health to waste a nuke on, and then help beat the last few points of health from it. 1HB is over 100 woot!

                  1. Go to Greig's End
                  2. PoP your steadfast servant AA
                  3. Melee mobs for 30 minutes, as much as you are able

It only took me a couple trips (71 mage), for 30 minutes each, to max out my dodge, along with quite a few offense, defense, and 1hb skill ups. I would just tank for my pet, and then back away if hp got a bit too low and waited for servant to heal me.
