Ok. So I started a business. I got up and running, then looking at different web hosting sites, I chose one specifically do to their advertising for their online store:
Build an online store with a shopping cart that will let users select the items they want from your store and provide payment information at checkout. Once a user checks out, the Web site owner will be notified of the order and payment details via email. Then the site owner will need to process the payment through their existing credit card swiper or by receiving the check from the customer.
So, all I do is accept cash and check, and this seemed perfect. So, I get the web-site and store up and running. Been going ok for 4 months, until I get an e-mail telling me that the person can't order from the store because it is requiring CC info.
I e-mail the web hostings customer service department and explain the situation and asked how the situation could be remedied. The jist of the response I got from them was:
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. It was a misstatement on our web-site of what the program could actually do. We will get our web-site corrected. In order for you to get that feature, you are going to have to upgrade your hosting package.
AAAAaaaarrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh...... anyone know of a good web hosting site that I might look into switching to next year???
