  • Charisma and new merchants???

I have noticed and I might just be mistaken, but with the new merchants like the Pixie Merchants in Les Fey wont make a difference with charisma enhancements or not same price no matter what. Is this intentional or am I just doing something wrong? Oh, and thanks to the Merchant Gods out there who gives us Magicians a place where we can buy all out Lesser Pet spells...I wish I could find all pet spells bought but hey then why do spell research.../grin. Yes I took the easy way out.../hangs head in shame

Take Joulmb an old merchant I go to him with 93 charisma and the spell: Summon Twisted ring is 8p3g9s9c, and with steins equipped and 174 Charisma it is still 8p3g9s9c...Hmmm I wonder if I can get rid of my steins now???

What makes a man a man? A friend of mine once wondered. Is it his origins? The way he comes to life? I don't think so. It's the choices he makes. Not how he starts things, but how he decides to end them.John Myer~Hellboy 2004

There have always been some "friendly" merchants out there that hit best price at a lower charisma. I seem to remember that some of the bazaar merchants fall into this category.

Yeah, there are "friendly" and "greedy" merchants.

When my enchanter was making plat killing Paineel guards (nerfed, do not attempt) it was easy to find the "greedy" merchant when selling the weapons and armor. (Enchanter = best price always)

I generally figure that a CHA of much over 130 with decent (indiff / amiable) faction will result in "best price" or a real close approximation.
In My (Not Always) Humble Opinion, except where I quote someone. If I don't know I say so.
I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

I'm pretty sure there's an article on the main site discussing vendor pricing, based on faction and charisma. It had the necessary CHA nailed down pretty darn close.

(hunts around a bit) Aha! Here we go:

        Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade
Master Artisan (300 + GM Trophy in all) of Luclin (Veeshan)
Master Fisherman (200) and possibly Drunk (2xx + 20%), not sober enough to tell!
