Help With Tribute

Hi all
Well I am feeling totally stupid and could not find any help or info on this so I am coming here.
How on earth does this tribute thingy work?
Our guild has 3600 tributes but members are asking how they can use them and I have no clue how this Tribute business works.
Can someone explain this here to me or drop me an email? I would greatly appreciate it.

Guild points are used by everyone in the guild who opted in, once a guild officer turns on the tributes.

If you go to your home town and donate tribute points, only you can use them. Unless you are an officer, I don't think you can change the guild tribute benefits other than simply opting out.

the guide on necrorealm is very nicely done, 'bout the only thing to add to it, in the case of guild tribute, unlike individual tributemasters, you can use no-drop items

While guild tribute can take no drop items, it applies only to OoW and newer items, older expansion no drop are not accepted. And even then not all are accepted anyway like the MM reward.
