My time in everquest has come to a close. In that time I've utilized this site a great deal and had alot of support in my tradeskill endeavors. Couldn't have done it without you guys.

Sadly after the horrible CS I've recieved due to the rollbacks, I'm cancelling my accounts and moving on to another MMORPG. Most likely D&D when it comes out.

I was one of the innocent victims that fell pray to the rollbacks. I foolishly bought two slugworms for 52k in the bazaar. I didn't think much of it at the time since I buy them for 40-65K all the time. Unfortuneately they had been picked up from the beta npcs. =( Two day rollback later I'm down from 293 smithing to 290. And from 200 tailoring back to 185.
I could have dealt with it really I could have. But they refused to return raid loots I legitimately won in the course of my days from Jelvan. He's an anguish mob.

I wish everyone here the best and hope that no one else has suffered this same problem. Next week I will be holding a clearance sale for all things tradeskill related on the Zek server. Be sure to check bazaar if you are on my server.

Good luck in your life and in whatever new game you find.
I see that a lot of people are quiting after this latest fiasco, I just thank Kanara that I have been out of the country for weeks and thus have not been logged on at all for all this.....

Anyway, from a fellow tradeskiller, happy skilling wherever you go!

(wish i was still on Zek, i would hit you up for your tradeskill supply sale)

If it still means anything keep trying to petition. I was told the same thing the first few days, but since then they seem to be a lot more willing to give back items. Just today I got a response from my petition stating they'd return my Driftwood Treasure Chest (which I looted right before rollback) after my first petition got a denial. I've heard similar stories so something must have changed. The only thing I did different was filed it under deleted item instead of item reimbursal request. I basically stated I could not get this item again which is true because calling it stupidly rare is an understatement. I think in your case you cannot get those CoA again by yourself so it falls under the same category. It's worth a try right?

They've been fairly lenient in interpreting reimbursal requests, as far as I can tell. I've had two flag items returned (yay!) and guildmates have had both flag and non-flag loot items reimbursed. The first response for everyone appears to have been a blanket copy/paste response and ticket closure. Second petitions have gotten much more favorable replies, though in my case it took almost a week. Still, a week is a short time to wait since it saved me having to redo two raids.

The key seems to be whether there was some sort of proof you actually got the item. A /report is best, as always, but obviously it's way too late to get one now. An alternative if you play with your logs on is to provide them with specific dates and times. "I killed the Uber Boss of Doom on Wednesday, Jan 12 at 6:05pm CST and I looted the Hammer of Much Love at 6:08pm" will help them narrow their search of server logs. If you don't have anything at all, petition anyway, and hope you get a GM willing to take the time to do the research.
