You can't get the old school feeling back because you already experienced it. What made it so significant at the time is because you never saw it before. Now, it is like watching an old rerun on TV.

Bingo. Especially when youre playing an evolving game. Sure maybe if it were an oldschool RPG you played years ago, but with Everquest the game has changed since then.

I would agree with that. One of the main reasons alot of people went to World of Warcraft. A lot of people have played the Warcraft games before and are familiar with it and liked the idea of seeing Warcraft in an MMO format. Even people who never played an MMO started playing because they played the previous games and knew of the Warcraft world.

I think if the trend continues with Lavastorm and Nektulos and SOE updates more and eventually all oldworld zones it would definately give the world a better look at least by graphical standards. Might even bring some new meat into the game.
