I have returned to EQ and hopefully regularly to these boards. I know I made noise about it before but seeing as I spent $75 transferring my characters from Quellious to Stromm, I'm serious about it.
I tried EQ2, played SWG (Mastering several professions), smashed villains in COH, resisted my friends attempts to get me to play WoW, and read up on all the other games and came to the conclusion that the original is still better than its progeny. At least, IMHO. The other games miss some crucial spark that keeps me feeling challenged.
There is also the matter of completing what I have started. I have yet to reach level 70 with any character and have yet to max out on any of the tradeskills. I am now determined to play EQ until they pull the plug on the servers and I have this feeling that EQ will outlast many of the other MMO's. I would not be surprised if there is a resurgence of interest in EQ over the next couple of months.
So, if anyone wants me, I'm playing on Stromm. I had to change my main's name to Brockwolf since I already had a cleric named Quinner on the server.
