biC quest #9 (kitren's cloak) question

Asking this here as I know folks willing to do one timesink (tradeskillers like us) can sometimes also be willing to do other timesinks like the biC quest is.

I seem to have my turn in bugged with this cloak.

I have all 3 ikk group trials done and turned in the 3 pieces (chalice, arrows and the 3rd item whatever it was). My progress update from KT indicates I am done with that.

I have hailed L'Diava.
I got her next text (that Alla says I should get).
I said "yes".
I get her next text (that Alla says I should get).
I said "what frightful temple".
I get the text that I should (that talks about showing her something of Kitren's and don't tell anyone I'm helping her).
I turn in cloak - and get this message: I do not recall asking for this. Please stop bothering me.

As a side note that I am unsure is affecting this, about 10 months ago I got this cloak and turned it into L'Diava out of order. She ate the cloak but I did not get the letter to give to Kelvin (or whatever his name is in KT). I reset the step - and restarted #9.

Any help from someone who has done the turn in would be appreciated. (Those who haven't done it yet, I've spoken to about 10 of those so far but really need assistance from someone who might know of a hail I missed, phrase I missed or something.)

You may not have been assigned this step of teh quest yet. Just say "yxtta" to her, then try handing in the cloak again.

Since this was from Kod'taz instead of Yxtta do I have to say that instead? I know I tried that at one point (what frightful temple gives same quest text as kod'taz) but will try again tonight using yxtta.

I wasn't sure if I had to go back and talk to Kevrin (since that's also in that long paragraph she gives me), but when I tried talking to him, I didn't know what to say since I've already gotten all the trials done and marked complete on the progress update.

Doh. Thats what happens when i try to help when I am more asleep then awake. Yxtta has nothing to do with this step.

When I did step 9 I did everything "by the book" to avoid being bugged since I have heard it could happen and had no problems what so ever.

I suggest going through your walkthru step by step in case you missed anything. If that does not work then petition that you are bugged and ask for a GM to be present to see that it is not working as intended.

At what stage in your overall progression did you do the turn in? Did you do it after ikk 1/2/3 group trials, after 1/2/3 and turning in the items? Was the cloak the only item you showed L'diava from those trials? (She mentioned in her text to bring her back something from each trial) Did you do it after all of the KT tasks were completed for Kevrin and Tublik?

I already petitioned and got the response I'm missing a step just before the turn in. GM mentioned the step "was in Abysmal Sea ... I suppose" (quote from him that I'm not sure is a hint or what).

I took /reports of the text I was getting and added it into my petition I took them.

I heard that you can "reset the zone", and I think I did that 10 months ago when the only thing I'd started was the 3rd trial for cloak. But now that I'm almost done with the entire KT progression portion of this bic quest, if I do the reset, I'm hoping I don't loose everything I've already done and turned into Kevrin and Tublik.
- For Kevrin all I have left is the Summoner's ring; I've completed all other tasks of his.
- For Tublik all I have left is the Ageless Protector/Pit of the lost; I've completed all other tasks of his.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but here's they way I think I did it.

1) Spoke to L'diava in Abysmal sea until she asked for evidance of Kitren.
2) Spoke to Kevrin to get KT Tasks started.
3) Did Ikky groups 1-3 in order handing in the progression item after each one.
4) Handed in Cloak to L'diava and received a letter.
5) Handed in Letter to Kevrin.
6) Did all the chores needed.

You say you 'did all the chores needed', but can you elaborate?

Do you see these when you ask Kevren to update your status?

• You've recovered important glyphs from the Temple of the ****ed!

• You've successfully translated the glyphs you found in the Temple of the ****ed!

• You were able to recover a rare artifact from the Grand Summoner's goons in the Summoning Circle!

• You've returned four relics from the Martyrs Passage!

• You've returned valuable information as to why the Muramites are in the Martyrs Passage!

If you do, did you then say 'I have done all you asked to Kevren?

Yes. When I say chores I am referring to all of Kevren & Tublik's tasks, but I handed in my Kitren's cloak between finishing teh group trials and doing the chores/tasks. As far as I can tell, and I may be wrong about this, Kevren's tasks are for BiC and Tublik's are to be able to trigger Ikkinz raids. This is just a guess because I was able to trigger raids before finishing Kevren's tasks & every BiC write up only shows Kevren's tasks, but not Tubliks.

Good news!

I had gone back and did a couple of /reports with the "strange" text that L'diava had given me (showing that she asked me to show her something of Kitren's but then said "I do not recall asking for this" when I tried to immediately hand it to her").
- I then updated my petition to say I had done some reports just to get this as part of the record. (I didn't expect them perse to review the /reports, though I'd dreamed someone might.)

The next morning, a 2nd GM reviewed my /reports, took a 2nd look at my flags and indicated that I should have in fact received the sealed note/letter. He/she placed one in my inventory for me

So I've done the letter turn in and that part done. *does a very happy dance*.
- Just need summoner ring and Ageless protector to finish the entire KT section and get my 4th augment (have Cyno piece already).

I'm fairly sure you don't need the Ageless protector thingie for BiC, "just" grand summoner ring.
