The tomcat is finally going to settle down.
Made a deal with an Ogre (what was I thinking) and got a full set of Ornate Gold Chain for the Bride (she is a shammie with white fur.)
Now I need to get something presentable for myself to wear. Therein lies the problem, what would look good on a beastie with white fur and also not completely clash with the Gold chain look she has ?

Oh, dang - I forgot the rings. I'm gonna lose what few lives I have left if I don't show up with the rings. (/em breaks out the jewelers hoop and starts working)

      Have to remember, he's a Leather-wearer.

Personally, I have no experience with Dyes for Leather Classes, so I can't give you any good advice.

I don't know of any sets of armour you could wear that would give a chain look, though the Queen's Carapace will give you a Plate look... and there are probably a few other items out there you could wear that would also give you a Plate look.

After that, simply bleach them (dye white).

P.S. There was a trend a while back of Druids looking for the Plate Look... ask around for what pieces to get.

        Bride and groom wedding rings....

Tower of Frozen Shadow 5th floor. (not sure you can wear them, but it's the thought that counts)
In My (Not Always) Humble Opinion, except where I quote someone. If I don't know I say so.
I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

What does velious leather look like on a male Vah Shir? The only example I could find on Allakhazam's Luclin-model fashion page is gnome skin, which is all black and therefore not very helpful for detail. Many of the velious armors are more ornate than the standard look of armors from elsewhere. (In Lucy they say "Velious Leather" rather than "Leather", for example.) I did find an example of a female Vah Shir in a Velious Chain, however, and it looked the same as non-Velious chain. So maybe Vah Shir didn't get different looks for the two types.

If I'm wrong on that and the Velious leather looks good, you could go for a tuxedo look with black pantherskin, which is actually a dark blue and should complement the bride's gold nicely. But getting the materials for a full visible suit could be quite a pain.

Although the more I look, the more uncertain I am that Velious armors look any different in Luclin models. Hummm....

Luclin graphics all look the same, but I think black leather on the white cat would look sharp, almost tuxedo-ish, and everything matches with black! I second the gnome skin suggestion.

Ahh, completely forgot about Black Pantherskin. I *think* a friend of mine has a unused stack or two of yew leaves, the panther skins are not too bad a farm (much better than foraging/finding the yew leaves in any case.)

As far as the rings, I have the ones from ToFS (well I will once I finish my half of the trade )

              Thanks for the suggestions/ideas

If the black pantherskin just looks like black leather (well, dark blue), you could achieve the same effect far more cheaply by wearing plain leather and dying your armor slots. Unless you don't have LoY.

Sometimes for weddings GMs will give special no drop rings, so you might wanna petition and see if they can hook you up. Semi offtopic, but hey, it might help somehow!

Everytime I think of dye, I have visions of a people running around dyed bright green and yellow (think day-glo bright.)

Has this created an aversion or are you of the opinion that no tasteful options can be created with dyes? You an achieve very pale pastel colors, provided the base armor doesn't have a color (as robes and leather frequently do), as well as very dark colors on anything at all. I've been shades of blue (light on my head down to dark feet), shades of green, mostly black with a few pieces the natural color of inferno chain, and my current mix of totemic and bronze colors. I'd like to think they've all been tasteful. Using dyes to become the color of black pantherskin would achieve exactly the same look as the actual armor.

If it's an aversion, however, then black pantherskin it is! (I can relate - I gave back the ubah Zaharn's Coronet I was given at level 5ish when I saw how horrible chain helms looked on a female barbarian [in old models]. I haven't worn chain on my head since. ) Some things just aren't worth sacrificing one's principles!

Not an aversion at all. I was scarred for life by an Ogre in Bright Green and Yellow. Possibly the ugliest thing I have ever seen. This was followed by various "day-glo" color combinations that really should not have happened (imho). Whenever someone brings up dyes, my mind immediately pulls up the mental image of that Ogre. Though I have seen some very good "dye jobs" that one is the memorable one.

I remember when UO came out with furniture dye tubs with bright-bright colors. I ran across some retina-burning creations back in the day....
