SoE fanfaire. Opinions?

Just curious from those that went to the first SoE fanfaire.... what did you think? Was attendance lower because it was not EQ fanfaire anymore? Did people complain that it was not eq fanfaire anymore? Was there discussion of bringing back eq fanfaire? Was it a better turn out than regular eq fanfaire? I felt really betrayed that SoE lumped the faithful eq players and the fanfaire that was for eq players into this all SoE thing. When SoE announced an extension of registration and lowering the price at the door, i felt that maybe the eq folks decided not to go, showing SoE that they made a mistake. Just want to know what the general feelings on it were.

Felt the same to me Was still fun, and networking, and talking to folks.

seemed maybe a bit, but not alot. I think overall atendance to SOE games are down with the extra competition out there. Heard a lot of "I played WoW but came back to EQ/EQ2 though

Not me. I did not even think about it at the time, and before the fan fair, I think I was more thinking "when will they bring in more EQ2?" I guess I have always thought of it in a "company" light. And I have always thought of EQ and EQ2 and EQ Online adventures as a sorta fammily... not "competitoin" with each other to cause a "betrayal" when they get together. I have just always thought of them Synergystically.

I wouldn't mind an all things everquest fan faire (eq, eq2, eqoa) but to put SWG and other SoE games (the members of the all access i think) doesn't seem right to me.

As for you adding eq2 to the website, i see that as a little different, and you still seperate them. You have eqtraders seperated from eq2traders, such that if i only go to eqtraders.com, i never see anything about eq2. I would have been dissappointed if eqtraders didn't support eq2 even tho i don't play eq2.
