I don't understand the question... EQ already provides you the ability to remap every keyboard command to any key you see fit.

I have to /agree on this one. Why pay for an EQ keyboard. Well...heck maybe you will get a pewter figure out of it...maybe one of those uber no drop items that are worthless. /claim Gah! /dissapointment !!!

No the "Zboard" is just a key-map-overlay with the standard keys, movement is still on the right.

This is what they want. A keyboard where you can move the number pad, for movement keys, to the LEFT SIDE of the standard QWERTY keyboard.

Then you can be moving with your LEFT hand while using the MOUSE with your RIGHT hand. I've thought about it but don't think I'd benifit enough in EQ to change my keyboard for everyday use.

            Hope that helps.

            Begin Edit:

Forgot, I just went to Google and typed "keyboard detachable numberpad" in the search line. The link above was the first result. After I finished the post I read the full text for that keyboard and it requires Windows 2000, and since I'm running 98/SE it wouldn't work for me. But I'm sure if you are in the same boat you can continue down the list to find one that works for you.

You can map WASD (or ESDF) to movement keys for free, too.

to answer your question i prefer to play rpg style with movement commands on ym left hand. having to move with the right, then target something specific with the mouse, move again cause i'm getting hit, etc.... all rpg style is really is using your elft hand for movements and the right for all your primary commands while some, like jump crouch strafe lean, are done with the left. standard style is like what most qwerty 104 key wiht movment designed for right handed users , which msot of the world liek myself is.

for a better explanation go pilot a merch warrior 3d battle pod and you'll see what i am talking about for dual control commands

So as suggested, map the movement keys to the left side of the keyboard... I don't get it.

Why pay money for something you can do for free?

I refuse to have movement keys mapped into the basic keyboard (ie, the letters section). I fully understand wanting them to the other side. I actually still do use the arrow keys with my left hand on a normal keyboard and mouse in the right hand, and it gives me an odd positioning at my desk. I've seen a lot of keyboards sold as gamer's keyboards, and the vast majority look like they were made by somebody who has never gamed beyond minesweeper My personal pet peeve is that I want arrow keys better shaped to my hand. (I prefer plain arrow keys to the number pad.) My current keyboard at last gives them a slight bend (another reason I would never map movement keys to the letter section is that there is no natural 4 key position for the hand there) but it still could be vastly improved upon.

It's not strictly a keyboard, but consider the Nostromo n52 controller as well. It's like a keypad for your left hand, with three rows of programmable keys. So you can map them to whatever you want. It also has a directional pad and a roller, plus you can have three "modes" that switch the keys to a different mapping set. I've been using it for a while, and it's made my gaming much easier.
