  • Epic question... Class specific.. Enchanter

Ok.. this is serious /ooc but EQ related. I hope to possibly get some advice on my first Epic piece because im batting ZERO!

The first step in getting the chantie epic is to go see a lady down in the Necro - guild down in the Qeynos Catacombs. Me being a High Elf doesnt help much in this department.. neither does doing serious killing on my way to JP thru BlackBurrow. I followed some advice by doing Illusion DE, and Invis. I said my lines... some how my invis fell... i think i clicked it off .. then SPLAT.

Second try I first went and coughed up gp after gp in NK to get my faction up. Made it to indifferent so i thought i was golden! WRONG... SPLAT AGAIN...

This week I coughed up more gp to get my faction to aimeble. Went down conned from a distance and got Indifferent and Aimeble. was just about to head in when a guard started beating on me. Thankfully he was green to me so i gated out and let my pet handle him. the guard is on the bloodsaber ( i think thats the alliance) faction, but he still hates me.

Do I need to cough up more GP for this guard to at least tolerate me? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Basic info on me character: High Elf, agnostic, lvl 60

The Enchanter GM (for evil Qeynos) is standing next to about a dozen Necro/SK GMs. They are BloodSabers. They don't like DEs. They see invis. They buff the skeletons and such that wander around down here. With see invis and a bunch of other nasty-ness. (Level 6 mob with level 60 buffs = not fun.)

Kill the Kolindi (spelling?) fish in the "UFO pond" up in north Qeynos. This will do two things pretty quick.

    1) Make you good friends with Bloodsabers.
    2) Ruin utterly your faction with all good aligned people in Qeynos.

    So, you should

    Illusion:HUMAN
Collaborate with the mob you see with the LOWEST faction.
    Have the text Hotkeyed
    Have Gate mem'ed.

Personally I was a DE and killed the little fish a few dozen (about 100) times while making money on the Stein of Moggok quest back in the day. I was greeted like the long lost son of everyone in the sewers.

Lucky for you that you are agnostic. If you had choosen a religion it would be MUCH worse.

The other option is to MQ this part of the quest. I *think* this bit can be MQ'd. Head on over to www.therunes.net (chanter forums) to get more help, I'm sure someone there can remember better than me!

Illusion human plus a faction spell should work. As you learned, invis wont.

Yes, it can, as this is the ONLY part of the Enc epic that can be.

          1) Get a friend to talk to Renia (spelling) and get the vial.
          2) Same friend talks to the dead frog for the ink.
          3) Same friend hands the ink to Stofo (spelling) in Erudin.
          4) YOU hand in the other (or last of 4) items and YOU get copy of notes.
          5) You turn in copy of notes to Jeb to get "Jeb's Seal" (which is no drop and must be given to the other 4 masters to get the bags in which you COMBINE the 4 items each master wants, thus making the whole rest of the quest no drop... err .. NO Trade I guess now.)

Up until you get you own copy of notes in Erudin you can MQ. After that you are on your own. But there's really not a reason to MQ the vial, unless you've picked a religion. I would -guess- you could max ally the bloodsabers faction and survive the trip even if you were a Tunare worshiper, but I don't personally know anyone who's tried successfully. (Religious enchanters generally MQ the vial.)

The snake stick is very cool, hope you get yours soon.

Stands for Multi-Quest. When you have a quest you are working on that requires certain items to be turned in that are no drop (no trade) to receive another item or finish the quest. If it has more than one item to be turned in (say two for this example) you can have someone else turn in the first item, then you turn in the second which "completes" it and you get the item or 'recognition' (for multi-stage quests) for doing the turn ins. Basically... who ever needs the quest turns in the last item. Can't be done for quests that are a one for one turn in.
