I have some webspace that I got for a free trial membership for three years. This was about a year ago and I havent done anything with it since. I used to play everquest all the time, too much in fact. I had to quit as it was a strain on my relationship with my wife and she is more important than the game. What I really miss from the game though is the people.
I was in the Army for 9 years as a network admin and batallion webmaster. I want to set up this webspace for a guild free of charge and administer it for them so I can keep in touch with people in the game and chat about how the game is evolving.
If your guild is 100 members or more and you need a website, drop me an email and I will consider you for my site. I will be using php, mysql, phpBB, and some other tools on the site.
Here is the kicker... If you havent registered your domain name (guildname.com, etc...) I will spend the 3 bucks and get your guild name registered for a year so the site will read yourguildnamehere.com (if it is available). No tricks, no games... I will be in touch with the guild leader by phone and give him all the details about the site including admin access.
Oh, and no banners on your site, no advertising whatsoever unless you have something to advertise yourself.
This should be a fun way for me to keep my admin skills up to date on all the new php and mysql stuff, and help a guild out at the same time.
