Tunare.Tyking DOWN

For those of you that use Tunare.Tyking.

Murphy followed my home from work yesterday.

A nearby lightning strike took out my DSL modem, Router, Switches, one computer and messed up the color on one TV.

A new DSL modem is on the way. We're expecting it in 3 days.

I'll have to tear apart my desktop machine to see what died and what's salvageable. Guess i might be buying a new computer sooner than expected

O, yikes! That is rotten luck. I hope that you have some insurance to cover the equipment beyond the DSL modem (expecting that to be covered by your ISP).

Tyking is Back up and running!!

And yeah i have insurance. Not sure if i'm going to make a claim though. I'd hate for my rates to go up and cost me more than the equipment

As a side note i'm also considering setting up a relay on the Stratics IRC network. Any interest there or for other irc networks?

And incase anybody cares... new desktop is a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ with a spiffy board, new case and 512MB of fresh hot PC 3200 DDR the 120GB HD and old piece of <explitave deleted> DVD rom and lame Geforce TI4200 were salvaged from the Old machine.
