Chanter Sword Pets Are Not Intended To Be Used As DPS. I rarely get hit (which is usually a good thing, my AC is a hair under 700 unbuffed), so I never pet up (I'm just now eating through the last stack of eight of Tiny Daggers I bought when Tink was LEVEL FOUR). But yesterday morning in Barindu, I thought, "why not". And my pet seems to constantly hit for 30. Nibbles at the guy's ankles. But hey, every damage is a point of damage, and it adds up, right?


So I ran right up behind the mob, nuked and immediately sat. No hit. So I said, "Cmon, hit me once, I dare you. So my pet can nibble at your ankles."

Kiz, being the smartypants he is, turns the mob around... and FDs. First hit was 500. I said "whee. Ok that works." As in, stand up dear, take your mob back now....
