  • Problem with price updates on traders?

I've been having a problem this week, when I change price on an item in the trader screen, and it only changes the price on some of the items but not on all of them in my trader satchels. So, if I have a few of some item, the price changes on one or two but another one or two remain at the old price. The only thing that resets this seems to be quitting trader mode and restarting trader mode.

Is this just me, or has anyone else noticed it?

Are you refreshing the trader list when you query in the /baz window ?

Not tradeskill related, so moved to ooc. And in response, no I have not noticed this. I hope you get it figured out.

I actually had this problem a while back. As you said, it fixes by closing down and reopening the trader window. However, I also noted that while it said different numbers on my screen, if I looked it up in /bazaar they were all at the correct price. Never left it long enough for somebody to buy but I'm thinking that it may sell at the new price even if the old one is still listed on your screen.

I noticed a related problem. One vendor had three non-stacking items for sale. (Three of the same item, of course -- I forget what it was.) When I searched the bazaar for that item, I saw two entries for the trader. One had two of the items at a certain price, and the other entry had the third item for a slightly lower price. I was very puzzled.

My bazaar mule also forages so I'm often picking up vegetables which stack into the piles for sale in her trader satchels.

If I do nothing, the bazaar still shows me having the original amount of veggies for sale, even if I've added one, two, seven, whatever. So I REMOVE and then ADD the item back for sale and it refreshes the inventory so that browers can buy those extra items.

I’ve also noticed that some NPC merchants have two or three of the same non-stacking item, using up valuable merchant slots. Ex: a merchant will have two Blackrock Lichen…normally even if you sell many of the same items, even if non-stacking, only one will take up a slot and the others won’t.

I recently noticed something similar a few days ago. I periodically check prices on items from my competitors to be sure I'm aware when my prices are undercut and I can choose whether to match.

I did a search on clockwork observer gear, and saw 2 helms from the same vendor at 2 different prices. At first I assumed that one of the helms was used and the tinker forgot to recharge it before putting it up for sale. So I inspected both items in the bazaaar screen and they were identical. Both fully charged but one was 10K and the other 8K. Same vendor.

And no, I didn't bug it. /shuffles feet

I, um, have company visiting from out of town and was just tending my vendor for a couple of minutes, so didn't really want to take the time to file a report. /e hangs her head in shame.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. Yes, I've refreshed and still had the problem and yes, the /baz search will show myself with the same item at two different prices. I have only seen this with non-stacking items.

I will /bug it and let them know!

I've gotten this bug for quite a while now, and what I've learned to do is clear price before putting in a new one. That seems to help a lot.
