  • Kind of a newbie here seeking help :)

Hiya, I am pretty new to Everquest, and I am still trying to figure out where the most active forums are

This one looks relatively active, so on with my question. A bit ago I could have sworn I heard that some zones recieved Paludal Cavern style xp bonues. I was wondering which zones were involved. I am mostly looking for a zone that adhere's to level 25-35'ish mobs

Thanks so much in advance to anyone who can offer suggestions!

Well... that could have been phrased... less high-handed...

Search the forums for "patch messages" and "hotspots" and "Paludal Caverns" and something should turn up.

But I think you will find that the new "hotspots" are for levels beyond PC. (PC = PC for PC level toons.) (toons = characters, it's slang)

          Good hunting.

(Please don't flame the newbies... you were a newbie once too.)

          **begin edit**

This thread has the patch message which lists the zones effected and their suggested levels.

I found this by clicking search at the top, then advanced search, entering Paludal in the "find text in messages" box (top left) and clicking the "search" button. This resulted in a list of 20 or so threads, one near the top which was titled "Patch Message" and sounded promising. Lo and behold it was exactly what you needed.

Again... HELP the newbies, don't slam doors in their face and make them run away to other boards.

          RTM = Ok
RM -rf *.*; RM -rf .* = Not Ok

I suck at this game, your mileage WILL vary. My path is probably NON-optimal.

What if you led them into the bank's safe in freeport?

Nice to see you here Nessiya. If you ever decide to start an addiction to crack, er, tradeskills, this is the best place to go!

the main EQ site /hates me/. And I mean, with a vengeance. It takes me easily 30 minutes to find what I want to find, the first time I go hunting for something.

So when I found this, I copied it and saved it where i KNEW where it was.

              ZEM-'Hotspots'
              - The Castle of Mistmoore (20th to 30th level)
              - The Tower of Frozen Shadow (30th to 35th level)
              - The Gulf of Gunthak (35th to 40th level)
              - The Lair of the Splitpaw (35th to 45th level)
              - Dulak's Harbor (40th to 45th level)
              - The Crypt of Nadox (50th to 55th level)
              - The Torgiran Mines (45th to 50th level)
              - Hate's Fury (55th to 60th level)

And having done a five-hour-plus grind in Mistmoore yesterday, I can vouch that it is /nice/ xp. ^_^
Tho I wonder when they're gonna cycle... hm. /shrug.

And for the record: at the moment, the EQ site keeps public record of patch messages... once I found where that was, I just checked previous patch, previous patch, till I found the above text.

It's /in/ there... it cast Invis on itself.
              /nod.
