  • Expansions..

OK, so EQ has been live for 5 years, we've had 7 expansions (not counting OoW) plus the original, that's 8 packs.

So, we had close to a year before Kunark came out, so we're looking at an expansion every 6 months.

Now, we had LDoN, and GoD both come out in the past 6 months, it seems that they're accellerating (sp?) these expansions.

Do you think they're coming out too fast?

I think 6-9 months is a good timeframe to enhance the game plus work on existing bugs.

    What does everyone else think?

Hark! Who is that, prowling along the fields! It is Draggar De'VIr, hands clutching two hardened pitas! He cries gutterally: "In the name of Thor the Mighty, I hereby void your warranty, and send you back to God!!!"

6 months minimum between expansions, preferably 9, seems optimum to me. It gives time to digest and properly tune both the current expansion and the upcoming one(s). Unfortunately, the truly hard core players are eating content so fast that they are bored within 6 months, which is why they are coming faster now.
