Well lets look into this. We all know web master is but just to make it clear our definition is the same I'll list it here:
The alias or role
of the person(s) responsible for the development and
maintenance of one or more web servers and/or some or all of
the web pages at a web site. The term does not imply any
particular level of skill or mastery
now some may say that webmistress is just a female version of this, but is that all Niami was thinking about when she took this title ?? I think not. She probable had a deeper meaning. But still she played it up towards the more commonly known example. So i did some research into the subject. Let us just asume for one moment that the only use of the word web was to bind it up towards the word webmaster. Then we are left with the part mistress. and what does mistress mean ?? Here are some definitions:
A woman in a position of authority, control, or ownership, as the head of a household.
A woman with ultimate control over something.
A woman who has mastered a skill or branch of learning.
A woman who has a continuing sexual relationship with a usually married man who is not her husband and from whom she generally receives material support.
A woman having power, authority, or ownership; a woman who exercises authority, is chief, etc.; the female head of a family, a school, etc.
A woman regarded with love and devotion.
A married woman; a wife.
a woman master who directs the work of others.
A woman filling the place, but without the rights, of a wife; a concubine; a loose woman with whom one consorts habitually
Now who doesnt feel that theese definitions really capture her essence ??
The true beeing of Niami could really fit all of theese right??
What is your opinion and which of the above do you feel captures her true beeing the best ??
edit:
all misspelling is due to hand injury caused by a friend in a knife throwing accident which pirced my right hand.
