Just finished watching the final episode of Angel. Omg... talk about an ending that keeps you wanting more more more more more more more....

There goes quality TV out the window. Kills me to think a great show such as Angel is being pushed off for another freaking reality show. I'm getting sick of them. the only thing on is either reality TV, some cop show, and maybe a few dramas full of saps..

whats a girl to do with her tv time?
only thing i can think of is EQ...
    *sniffle*

at least i can look forward to the Moonlightrising convention in 2 weeks (Buffy convention) Maybe i will even get to hug James Marsters (Spike) and Lorne (green guy).

Yeah, that was quite the way to end it. Like the Farscape ending.

Starting to wonder if these prematurely ended shows are going to continue to thumb their noses at the networks

I hate endings that don't give a sense of closure. Not that I want every little loose end tied in a pretty bow, but at least, with 'Buffy', while you knew she was still a slayer and would go on, she had averted a major catastrophe and provided for the future by activating ALL the potential slayers in the world.

This ending just leaves you hanging..ok, so Angel & the gang clobbered some of the big baddies...but what about his destiny to avert the Apocalypse? The 'promise' that someday he might regain his humanity?

      /sigh

Taking out the Circle of the Black thorn was to avert the Apocolypes. He signed away his destiny to become human again when he last met with the Black Thorns.

Technically all loose ends were tide.. even with Spikes poetry.. go figure.

At first i didnt like how it end but when I sat and thought about it, it really left you breatheless and in wonder.. did they die? did they live? Unlike alot of finales of late, this one made you want more. the show moved so fast.

Similar with me - At first I didn't like the ending, but the more I thought about it, the more I liked it. They took this cast-killing end-of-finale battle, and in the last few lines, turned it back into something "normal", just one more day at the demon-killing office. It gave it a sense of "continuing" to me, that they would go on and continue to "fight the good fight" just as they have through and after all the prior near-apocolypses, only this time we wouldn't be watching it.

I actually liked this ending more than that of Buffy. Buffy just left everything feeling, well, "done" - nothing to see here, move along, we're closed. And the final scene lacked any sort of, well, "final feeling" - it just sort of ended, with nothing more to do. Angel's finale wrapped up most of the long term storylines, provided (in assorted ways) a basic idea of the paths each character would follow, and finally cut you out in the middle in such a way that provided a decent view of the future. It left you with something strong and distinct - made me feel the ep's title was perfectly chosen, both as a reference to the episode's plot and the episode's/series' end

Most series' ends leave with sadness or with a hollowness/emptiness - Angel left me with a smiling smirk.

Personally I feel its rather distinct from an ending like Farscape, whose last-moment wow feels far more like a season-ending style cliffhanger which would be resolved in an upcoming episode, whereas Angel's seemed more of the standard off-screen-impossible-battle-type end of an episode, that they wouldn't depicted even if there were a next episode.

Ok, I missed the first ~15 minutes, so maybe that's why I'm not seeing it..

However, I loved Angel's last line "Personally, I wanna slay the dragon!"

            I betchya he plays EQ

Personally I loved the abrupt ending, it made the show seem more like a HK action movie. They could've cut out 10 minutes of action to put in 10 minutes of epilogue, I'm glad they didn't.

There is a reason why the ending seemed so sudden. WB decided long ago that this would be the last season of Angel that they would air, however when these last episodes were written, UPN was seriously considering picking up the show for season six. The last episode had to be written in way that it could be either the series finale or a cliffhanger leading into the next season. Unfortunately, UPN decided to pass on the show

P.S. -HK means Hong Kong, not High Keep
