I just finished, and it worked fine for me. My only problem was when they got to the system specs part, which they acquired via ActiveX, I had to switch over to IE, which the process didn't like much. It also had me submit those system specs 3 times - it seemed successful, but just kept dumping me back to the acquire&submit page again.

Eventually did finish though, and got the finalized email. Was slow throughout, but I never got any errors.

The annoying thing is I am AT WORK (not the system I have at home where I play). And it should have said AT THE START that you should do this from the system you play on...

I have the system specs met... GIVE ME THE CHECKBOX stating I have the necessary stuff and let me finish the dang process!

Bah... not sure if I have gotten far enough or not.

Ditto, ditto, ditto. I even set my calendar to remind me at the right time - got in before the site was slammed... Then I had to calm myself down realizing that i had to wait until i got off work to finish the application.

Got home... and tried to complete the Beta Application... went through without any pause, complaint... and actually picked up right where I had left off. Maybe it was just all the initial load that was causing the problems...

My husband actually *wanted* to play Lords of EQ, so took advantage of the beta offer. After some thought, I did too, even though I must admit I've not played it. (But hey, it was on sale and I got a month ext on my sub, so didn't cost THAT much). Considering the trouble everyone is having getting the app in, plus the fact that I am going out of town for most of this week, I think I'm glad we did that. I look forward to seeing half of EQ Traders in beta

10pm at nite and got thru with no problem.
The only problem came when they went to send me the *automated mail. My server is now "activally enhancing the server to protect users from spam, viruses, and other wise unwanted and dangerous emails". The new software they have pervents emails coming thru w/o a DNS number/address thingy. If you are sitting waiting for a reply you may have to change the address to a yahoo or hotmail account.

This is the first time I have applied for a Beta. About how long do you suppose they will make you wait with batted breath to let you know that you are in? is it immediate random thing? if you dont get a reply right away you should count yourself as out? just kinda curious

You cannot count yourself out until they anounce the product is Gold. They will not send you anything until (if) you are in. They will send you nothing if you are never in the beta. So no holding your breath unless you have an oxygen generator!

Well, I can get to the "Enter your first name here" page, but then I get an internal error, on both M$IE and Firebird. Blah. And here I was excited for a minute.

The impression I have is they will continue to draw from the pool as long as they continue to beta test. ie if you don't get picked for the first wave of the testing, you're still in the pool for the 2nd wave, and so on. So there should be a real possibility of getting picked until they announce the end of beta (in the age of patch-mania, and especially with an online game that has patchs a common event, I wouldn't be surprised if the beta lasted after the game went gold).
