The link from eqlive station page gives a 404.

http://everquest2.station.sony.com/ Now leads to a page encouraging us to "Preorder planes of power" now.

Well... I went through the process... filled in Form 1... waited... waited... got 403... backed out, resent...waited, waited.. got to Form 2... filled it out... waited ... waited some more... got more complaints... got past that to submit confirmation code (sent via e-mail)... got past Form 3... waited... waited (some more)... got complaints it "could not find page"... resubmitted the page like 5 times... waiting 5 minutes between... it then got to the page asking for mailing address (which they should have from the Station Name account)... put that in... then got to screen to get plugin to check system requirements.

The annoying thing is I am AT WORK (not the system I have at home where I play). And it should have said AT THE START that you should do this from the system you play on...

I have the system specs met... GIVE ME THE CHECKBOX stating I have the necessary stuff and let me finish the dang process!

Bah... not sure if I have gotten far enough or not.

              REGISTRATION CLOSED?
              WHAT THE (expletive self-censored) ?????

Edit: Due to the popularity of EverQuest and anticipation to be one of the first to experience and test EverQuest II, our Beta Application server is currently at full capacity. We are still accepting applications so we ask that you please try again later.

*sigh* Translation: Go to work soon, Lilosh. EQ2 beta won't be for you. *cry*

Well Lilosh... with the flakey way the site was acting for me... I am not surprised they "temporarily" deactived the sign-up page.

If they were smart about it... they would have picked a # (10 or 20... or 50 or 100...or whatever) and only allowed that many in PER HOUR... it would spread out the load, and give people a more fair chance of getting registered based upon their time zones...

I am not saying that is what they did (are doing)... just what I would have done... but not many have said I was "smart"

I'm in the process of submitting my application. It's taking FOREVER to send the DXDiag.txt file. I submitted it and got bounced back to the page where you submit it. Submitted it again, got a "page not found" page. Refreshed a few times, got an eternally loading page. Back arrowed, resubmitted, got bounced back to the submit page. Sheesh. Resumbitting again now.

Woot! New page! Who new that part of the "quest" of EQ2 would be discovering new and exciting web pages while applying!

Moorgard the SoE community liason has stated on the SoE offical forums that Beta applications will not be chosen first come first serve. They will be reviewing all the applications they recieve.

It is my assumption that they will check your station account and status as well as any soulmarks your account will have. Have no fear if you couldn't get the page to submit your application yet there is time.

P.S. My application is already in
