I have to laugh when I hear people talking about the new Final Fantasy games. Anyone remember playing the first one way back. That game ruled, you had little to no movement, the game was harder than most in the day, and still ahs replay value today! Ah, the NES...<3

A few years ago, PC Gamer did a comparison with Atari 2600's "Combat" vs. Quake ]I[ Team Arena.
Quake's advantages:
Many weapons
3-D movement
high graphics
Combat's advantages:
Everything else.Draggar De'Vir

Journey: Escape ? (does the music sound familiar now?)
Spent countless hours playing combat with my sister and my friends. Enduro, Dodge'em, Pac-Man, Pitfall!, reactor (that was just fun to lose!), Battlezone, Bezerk, Haunted house, defender (KILL THE PEOPLE!) etc..
And yes, Ngreth, I think I spent many days playing Burger time trying to get to that last level...
And my mom yelling..
"Why don't you go outside and play?"
"Keep the door open"
"Come and eat dinner NOW!"
And my replies:
"Just one more level!"
"I'm about to beat my all-time high score!"Draggar De'Vir

Blatant advertising games were the best. I never played the Kool Aid one, but on the NES there was a game called "Yo, Noid!" based on the Domino's Pizza Noid character, (the most annoying piece of advertising drivel this side of the Taco Bell dog!) I laugh now when they package CD-ROM games with boxes of cereal, I noticed it recently on Cap'n Crunch.
Hehe, a bit more modern, but did anyone ever play that little dinky adventure game that came on the driver disk for the original Gravis Gamepad. (i'll bet 90% of you own one of these gamepads, go back and see if you still have the driver 3.5" disk and install it, the game is so buggy its funny!)Lickity

Remote Control? if you wanted to change the channel you had to get up off the couch and walk across the room and spin the dial.
