  • Just introducing myself...

    Hello all!

I'm a fairly new player to EQ, and this is my first post on this board. I heard about this board through the EQ Newbie forum and as I'm a bit obsessed with tradeskills I thought I'd check it out. It's great!

Who am I? I'm a freelance writer and novelist in Los Angeles with a real love of immersive roleplaying. Just recently started up an EQ guild called Strictly in Character, because of my frustration with coming on as a new player and finding that a) very few people actually roleplay and b) it's darn hard to find the ones who are without already knowing where to find them. I also help run a website called HowtoBeaHero.com. My partner in the website is Lori Cole, who as you may or may not recall was the creative force behind the Quest for Glory series, probably the first true computer RPG. Lori and I are also working on a novel series inspired by Quest for Glory.

As for trade skills, my main (11 BST) is working on tailoring and baking mostly, and for some reason I have my main alt (4 MAG) doing Jewelcraft (I know, I know, but she wouldn't be talked out of it). Because I'm a die hard roleplayer I tend to have my characters pursue things that make sense according to their personality and family background. These aren't always the most useful things, but boy are they fun. You should have seen me when I made my first "Clump of Dough," I was ecstatic.

Just wanted to make myself known so if you see me on the other boards you won't be thinking, who the heck is that?

    -M.B.

    Welcome here.

Hopefully we can be able to answer any question(s) you may have or at least direct to a source.

Have fun playing EQ and just remember you came to THE best Tradeskill site there is!

Run. Run away. As fast as your furry feline feet will take you. Do NOT get sucked in.

All kidding aside. Welcome to the boards. You will find tons of usefull information here that will help make your tradeskilling persuits worthwhile.

Most of the people here are full of quite a bit of knowledge with the game, so, if you have questions, ask away. If they can, they will give you a good answer, or point you in the right direction for finding it.
