She have any alts that are 62+. Once you reach this level money is very easy to come by if you spend just a little time in bot. Win a pattern and you have 10-60kp right off the bat. Some of the other drops sell for 2-8kish.

The smithing forum is not the place for a "how do I make a ton of pp" post. Moved to OOC.

If she has a bard, she can forage, so she may be foraging tea leaves and brewing into Qeynos Afternoon Tea. Those, Kaladim Constitutionals and Grobb Liquidised Meat can slowly and steadily bring in the platinum (not all at once, mind you.)

If she made the plat with Smithing, she may have been exploiting the Silvered Pick recipe (NOW FIXED, so don’t think to use it), where the results sold back for a large profit (selling price to merchants was at least 2-3 x the ingredient costs.)

Or she may simply have found a steady buyer for some item (like sickle blades, or something.)

The silvered pick exploit was still alive and kicking on RN as of this morning... a friend of mine was using it

Lets hope they fix it in the patch today!

It was? I thought they had killed the vendors then done a quick emergency patch?

Whether or not someone is using an exploit, or, for that matter, a "legitimate" means to earn plat, most tradeskillers, myself included, don't feel comfortable revealing our methods and means of gathering profit. I'll tell you how I make items, and I don't mind sharing recipes, but most of us aren't involved in the "get rich quick" schemes that you see advertised. Tradeskills, as I'm sure you know from raising smithing, are a lot of work. If you're in them purely for the money, you're wasting your time.

As the old adage goes, "The best way to make a small fortune with tradeskills is to start with a large one."

WIth that said, the secret of making plat is easy. Find a product people want and no one else sells. It's all about market exploitation, and you'll have to discover those markets on your own.

hehe. i used the picks for 3 runs. using rp reasons i justified the merchants just hadn't caught on to it yet. after three runs i figured they would have some sort of merchant meeting and discover they shouldn't be paying that much for it. haven't don it since and spent almost all the money made on it buying up jc and blacksmithing. had the padding already. money entered and then left so no net pp added to game. plus i felt kinda bad for the merchant. he just lost all that money. no way was i giving it straight back though.
