Grand Robe of the Oracle -- anyone tried it?

Since this quest doesn't appear to include tradeskills (even though it's come up several times in other forums here) I figured this was the place for it.

The press release that mentioned the phylactery that could be made (the quest that includes the books -- History of the Di'zok, Velketor's Spellbook, etc.), also mentioned being able to turn in your Velious robe for an upgrade.

Has anyone tried this? I have my Velious robe, but I don't have a good replacement, so I'd be pretty much up the river if it sucked.

If no one else has, I probably will give it a try, and just make myself an elemental robe from bazaared components sometime soon. But I'd really rather not be the guinea pig here...

There is much discussion currently underway in this thread in Quests. There were vague hints of tradeskill involvement at the time the existence of this quest was first mentioned, so we're going to leave the room for discussion there for now. If it turns out not to involve tradeskills after all, it'll get moved here.
