I've only visited there a few times, but it seems like historical accident that Virginia is considered part of the South. The weather there seem northern to me all around.

Of course, this is coming from someone who lives in Orlando, which is only Geographically south. I have to drive north to get that "southern" attitude.

Interesting note.

Many "Foriegn Cars" are assembled in the U.S.

Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and their subsidiaries all have major plants here in the U.S.

Several very expensive Foriegn Cars" are owned by U.S. companies (ex: Ford owns Ferrari). Some US manufacturers are owned or partnered with non-US companies. Hating someone for driving a car not made by GM is oretty silly now.

And, yes, I know it was a joke. :P

regarding pointing to your left hand...


during my summer schooling in Germany this past summer, i met two chicks who lived in or near Dearborn Michigan. They educated me about the "I live here and point to your hand" thing. Among the presents they brought for their host families were a pair of oven mitts that had a michigan map printed on them. It was hilarious.



I wish I had money... I could buy a car... pay for the insurance... afford the gas (/snicker!)... and take trips to all these places. Going to Germany this past summer was the first time I think I had been out of this BLASTED TOWN, not even state, TOWN, in three years. /twitch. /twitch.
