SoD Caster Weapons

If I am understanding this correctly the ONLY SoD player made weapon for casters is Stalwart Reinforced Baton (1hb)?

Is there anyway to make a piercing weapon (dagger) or a 2-hand Blunt that is caster usable?

I don't understand WHY they don't just let casters use the same weapons other classes use.
Let INT casters use the daggers and staves.
Let WIS casters use maces. Make the hammers similar ratio to maecs, and let them use those too.
Let Shaman use short spears.
Make a Scimitar (or make the Long Sword or Hand Axe a Scimitar) and let Druids use those.

I doubt the ratio will make a difference to casters, except when they're just meleeing for fun, and, for some odd reason, casters don't get any bonus to their weapons for the horrible ratio they get. You'd think they'd at least get more Spell Damage and Heal Amount...

We're also still missing shields. Why can a Warrior use a crafted Long Sword, or Mace, or Short Spear, etc in EACH HAND, but casters, priests, and knights only get the great crafted stats in ONE hand?
