Anyone had any luck with the wizard instant cast spells such as Cold Snap RK.II, Cloudburst Strike RK. II, Flashfires RK. II ? I can't seem to figure out what component these have outside of the norm for the spell. I'm assuming it has to do with the instant cast portion.

No luck with the most obvious combinations for Cold Snap Rk II.
E'Ci's Ink Additive
Quill of the Arcanist
Arcane Thickener
Fine Paper
Ink of Pain
Plus, combinations of additional inks of..
Zek (autocast
Pain (more of it)
Alacrity (for special consideration of the instant nature)
Prexus (just for kicks, looking at the autocast element/effect)
Ink of E'Ci
And for good measure..
Substituted in..
Consuming Thickener (with the most likely combination of inks..) -
I guess it might help if I know more about what the autocast/recourse element of these instants do as a group before I would consider writing off the combination as missing or broken or unsolvable.
I haven't seen anything recently and explicitly definative about the autocast element of instants on standard spell data sites, and I haven't seen it (through searchs for related/similar terms) discussed in recent topics on Graffes or the Sony boards.Comment
