  • New Recipies?

Durew was kind enough to tell me where the recipes for the type 11 weapon augs were.

However, I can't find any cultural weapon recipes except the lowest two (smithing) or three (tailoring), or recipes for the molds required for them.

Are there any higher recipes and mold recipes, or are we supposed to work them out ourselves?

I believe they are all on the same vendor, but he will only sell you the scrolls based on your skill. So to get the higher level ones, you need higher skill. At least, that was the intent when when Ngreth was talking about the scribable recipes. Sorry if this is not the case for these specific ones.

I thought this as well but at the top of his list there were 2 recipes, I had to scroll to the bottom of his list to find the other recipes. The vendor was Borik Darkanvil.

        hmmm

No, that sounds about right. My tailoring is higher than my smithing (210 vs 180 raw). I saw three recipes on the tailoring vendor, and two on the smithing dwarf. I called over a GM smith friend and he saw all of them.

        Thanks much!

I just want to double-check something:

The sub-combines (pottery and fletching) that are needed for the molds - are there scribeable scrolls/books for those? I haven't been able to find them, so have just "experimented" to learn these.

            aye

I looked around a bit, then just worked it out for myself. I didn't find any scribable recipes.

For the most part, the purpose of having the recipe scrolls was to control the final product production to require a certain skill. It is not likely the subcombines have recipe scrolls and you can just easily experiment to learn the recipes like always.

I couldn't find any mold, staff or hilt wrap recipes when searching in the pottery wheel, fletching kit or loom, so had to experiment with these. The JC recipes were there though after scribing the scrolls iirc.

The molds and Handles are discussed in the books on vendors like Borik Darkanvil, Fine Weapon Making Volumes 1-5. The recipes for the pottery and fletched parts can be learned, but not scribed.

Also see my post in the Tradeskill Guide section of this site. It pretty much explains it all in as simple a format as I could manage.
