Guest posting?

I've noticed that GUESTS are able to start threads. On the forum page, in the thread starter column, this leaves that name blank

For Example - "guest" started this thread in tinkering

I guess, I didn't realize "guest" posting was enabled here.

That may have nothing to do with Guest posting...they could have simply moved the posts after you registered and moved the people already registered before you registered, and since you're not in the vBulletin when they moved the posts over, you got put down as Guest by default.

This is just an educated guess however.

As is mentioned in several spots, including the front page of the site, not everything moved over the way it should have. It is going to take days to get everything back to normal again.
