  • Plans for EQII?

EQII is just a few short months away I was wondering if EQTraders will be involved with Trade Skills for EQII?

Seems I have to make up an FAQ post on this.

At this time, EQ and this ginormous database we've been working on forever are a full-time job for me.

I have no plans of branching out into any other game at this time.

Most newer games won't need a site like this.

Most are going for a flat "put the points into the skill as you level" model, rather than a skillup model. Because of that, they won't have the gray areas that EQ has where more info is needed.

Most will likely be very straightforward, with detailed instruction books in game.

Its sort of like in anarchy online, its known that you have to have a certain skill to make an item at all, once you can you simply make it, you can't make it until then and you can't fail, the game clearly tells you what your skill needs to be, etc.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m very much looking forward to EQII and what the Tradesmen class has to offer. Aandaie, is most likely correct, there will probably be in game books that will give instruction on Trade Skills.

It has been mention that Tradesmen will have to journey with groups, so I figure either the item is a drop or is prone to the decay factor.
