  • Stromm's guild

I know this is going to sound a bit negative, but it's something I've started to notice recently. I understand Denmother's need to move away from the guild (due to the amount of tells she was receiving from people), but I wonder if this is going to effect the guild itself. I've noticed that one of the cool things about this particular guild was the fact that it was affiliated with her. Now, it's not. The comraderie didn't really have a chance to develop much between the rest of the members, and as one of the original members, I'm starting to look elsewhere for another guild due to the fact that the one linking reason seems to be gone. I rarely see our guild leader anymore these days, and fellow guildies are almost always in trader mode.

I never discovered if there was a regular web site for our guild, so this is the only place I've ever discovered where I can communicate with the rest of the guild.

I'm sorry to say, but not my problem, and not something that should be dumped into my forum and my lap.

When the guild idea came up, it was NOT meant to have me active in it, etc. My involvement was initially just to give my blessing to the name. Yes, I did play for a bit, and yes, folks DID drive me away, from the folks that felt that a simple hello HAD to be in tells, to the folks that *insisted* that I become involved in internal politics (and exploit questions, etc., etc.), to the folks that decided that *I* should be the one that people direct questions about joining the guild AFTER I'd already said that I just wanted a chance to *play*.

Be that as it may, such questions and commentary really should go to guildspeak, to your officers or private messages. I really don't want/need this turning into the default guild communication for any guild, as once one does it, another thinks it's ok to do it, and donations don't generally cover traffic expenses as it is.

Locking this down before it turns into a whine-fest.
